A grassroots knowledge worker seeking the holy grail of performance.
Ever since the 90's I have been a passionate user of the Internet. I have always believed that technology could be a true enabler for increased performance in knowledge workers. I consider myself an avid online explorer searching for answers to questions, collecting information, and creating knowledge.
An accomplished leader, coach, and mentor - I have been able to bring vision, clarity, and increased performance to many individuals and organizations. Numerous awards and recognition have also proven my ability to provide the right blend of business acumen, technology know-how, and enough empathy to personalize each engagement.
My employment history entails spending close to 13 years with a large financial services organization here in Canada. Since 1999, I have been out on my own pursuing the holy grail of performance.
I graduated University with a business degree and since that day I have continued to focus on developing and honing my skills. Over the years I have obtained certifications in knowledge management, competitive intelligence, sales, and project management. I have also leveraged the internet and many books to teach myself many new skills such as web design and usability. I am well versed in numerous technology applications both online and offline supported by my personal knowledgebase of over 5000 bookmarks and papers.
I guess you could say I eat my own dog food :-)
My ultimate goal is to help people and the companies they work within to become more aware of the tools available to them for achieving better results and increased performance.
To help people work smarter, not harder and enjoy the life we have all been given.
My interests include; A love for life and family. Hockey, mountain biking, weight training, & golf. Reading books, surfing the web and continuous learning. A passion for the automobile old and new. Friends.
